Jolly Pong is an OG children’s snack in Korea – they’re a puffed rice snack similar to Honey Smacks, but instead of eating them with milk as cereal, we would eat them by the handful, and even now as adults as a bar snack.
Introduced in 1972, Jolly Pong was the next evolution of the old-school puffed rice snack known as ppeong-twigi, which look like giant rice crackers.
Jolly Pong has a lightly sweetened, caramel-y malted flavor that adds a unique twist to the classic Rice Krispies treat.

Extra-large mixing bowl
Parchment paper (optional)
Large baking pan
Ingredients
3 tablespoons butter
1 package (4 cups) mini marshmallows

Place 3 tablespoons butter in microwave-safe large mixing bowl, and microwave on high in 10 second intervals until butter is melted.
Add 4 cups mini marshmallows and 1/4 teaspoon salt, and stir until marshmallows are completely melted and fluffy. You can put back in the microwave for 10 second intervals if mixture hardens too quickly.
Stir in 6 cups Jolly Pong, and mix until thoroughly combined.
Spread into a large baking pan lined with parchment paper and greased. Let cool until hardened, and cut into bars.
No Microwave? Melt butter over low heat on stove top, then add to mixing bowl.
